BJ, If you can get by with a carb kit the p/n is 0439071, However if you need the complete carb body you could contact twincityoutboards.com, or americanoutboards.com and they can probably locate one. I beleive that carb was pretty common on 18hp FD models from 1957 through about 1964 or so

Does it make a differnce if the carb has been rebuilt before?

Depends on who did the rebuild and how thorough they were in doing it mostly, IMO. Its not a difficult job if you follow the instructions and if you're planning on doing it yourself there's loads of info and help available to guide you through it

I installed a rebuild kit and in the process the aluminum "spacer" that the low speed needle goes into came out. Can it be fixed?. And the lever end of the low speed needle broke in half.

You'll need a new lever for the low speed needle. You could pretty easily make one yourself out of plastic or something. Even a little chunk of aluminium. Really just a bar with a hole in it isn't it? Course, you could get one from tcoutboards.com too.

As for the "spacer" - that's the part with the threads right? Just tap it back in. You may want to stake the outside of it with a light whack with a sharp chisel so it grips in the bore better. But really the packing will hold it in fine.

The lever is in good shape it is the needle that broke in half.
