I have recently taken my motor in for repair, and was told that parts are no longer available for it. The model # is CD-10, and the serial number is 1120462. It is a Johnson Seahorse 5 1/2 hp. I have been told that it is a 1957 model.

I hit a stump with it while in Canada, and need a pinion shaft and shock absorber assembly.

Please email me at dwagstaff1@carolina.rr.com if you can help, or have any other information regards this motor.

Re: 1957 Johnson Seahorse??

Thanks JB for the quick response. By the way, is this motor valuable when it is in working condition? Ironically, when the repairman found out that I was searching for the part on the 'net, within 5 minutes he called me back and asked me if I was sitting down. He said that he was going through a box of old things and there, wrapped in it's original shipping paper, was the very part that I needed. Coincidence or scam? Makes me wonder if he wanted a collectible motor?
