Over the winter I put a "new" lower unit on my 35 Lark because I was having clutch dog/forward gear problems. Since then, I've had a vibration at mid-speed range. Whole pontoon vibrates, like a massaging lounge chair:). I thought maybe the old prop was out of balance, so changed it out, but still have the vibration. Motor idles fine and top speed is fine. Once you get past a certain point toward high speed, it smooths right out. What do you think? Bent drive shaft? I did change the drive shaft as the old L/U was long shaft and went to short shaft.

The drive shaft condition is a good place to start looking. You could also have a bad upper bearing in the lower unit. Does the oil in the lower unit stay free of water?
