Poking around your local marinas - particularly if they're the well-established type that have been around for a few generations. Showing up at coffee time with a box of good donuts may help get you into the back rooms, attics, and sheds where that sort of thing might be tucked away. You want to talk to the guys who swing the wrenches, not the guy with the starched shirt at the front desk.
They turn up on eBay, too. Prices are all over the map there - anywhere from $30 to $100...
