1958 CD 15 lower unit

I put CD 15 LU on 1955 7.5 evinrude Model# 7518 it fits good only
problem is prop off 7518 will not go on shaft far enough to get pin in. CD 15
has different looking case by the shaft?

why do you need to change the prop?
