hello all my name is rich iam new to iboats i just got me a 35 hp johnson motor really cheap now to get it running i changed the coils points and condencers . now iam in need of a gas tank with a primer button .<br />A steering wheel for my 1969 sea king.<br />the pullies for the steering are on the boat allready and in good shape.<br />would like to know if any one has for sale the plug for the starter .and any info on this motor would be great thank you all so very much .....1RICH

Rich....first....welcome to iboats forums.<br /><br />First thing to do if you are serious about the old shaker is get a service manual. For that old an engine, check out the link below for a reprint of the original manual. May not hurt to get a parts manual to.<br /><br /> http://ww3.kencook.com/evinrudejohnsonmanuals/ <br /><br />Have you done compression tests yet? Would be a good idea. Don't want to put a chunk of change in her to find out the cylinders are shot.<br /><br />It would not hurt to rebuild the carb and install a new water pump impeller in it also.<br /><br />The old two hose gas cans are still around. Check out ebay. Once in a while you can pick them up there. May be a little tuffer getting a wire harness. Maybe one of the other guys on the forum will check your post out and give you a lead.<br /><br />Hope we've helped.<br /><br />PS....don't solicit to buy...Mods don't like that.
