1959 35 horse Johnson Super Seahorse Repair Manual

Hello,

I have a 1959 Johnson Super Seahorse and its needs an impeller change and carb work. I am looking for the correct repair manual to purchase. There are a bunch listed so if someone could direct me to the right one or post a link it would be appreciated.

A lot of guys here will recemend a factory service manual, but I've used Selocs for years and they've worked out just fine. If you're a person with a pretty good level of mechanical knowledge, then I think a Seloc manual will work just fine. It'll cover water pump and carb service procedures pretty well.

can anyone tell me what years johnson made the super sea horse 35? I am getting ready to go look at one on a bellboy and want to get as much info before I go look at it.

Super Sea Horse was made in 58 and 59. In 1960, it was bumped up to the 40hp, but the Super Seahorse name was dropped. It still had the super quiet suspension though.

that is what I thought, the 58 looks different then the 59 mine is a 59. Does anyone know what year this bellboy is? I was told it was a 14 foot 1952 bellboy, but I don't think that is right.

well I tried and put the pic in but it is not showing up. I am new to this site, so if someone could help me out putting pics in the replys, it would be much appreciated.

The 35hp was only made in three years. '57, '58 & '59. What's a bellboy? Actually if it's a boat you should start a new thread over in the boat section as that's where the answer could be.
