Thanks to all in advance. Can anyone tell me the wiring layout for the 4 spark plugs in this motor. I just got the boat and trying to restore it, but the motor does not have any spark plugs or spark plug wires.

I love the water.

Huh. I just looked at the parts manual and it's not in it. Sorry.

Cylinder Numbers should be cast into the head. Also, the distributor cap should have numbers next to the wire connections. If that is illegible, remove the cap and run a cylinder up to TDC and see where the rotor is pointing. The motor is going to fire in an x pattern. Try 1-4-2-3, and see if that works. Cylinders 1 and 3 are on the starboard side I think.

All OMC V-4 engines have the same firing order. Look at the engine from the rear. The top cylinder on the left is #1. You will also find this cylinder is the highest in the block. Top right is #2, bottom left #3, bottom right #4. #4 is the lowest cylinder in the block. As has been pointed out. If you look at the distributor cap, each wire tower, or terminal will be numbered.
