I have recently purchased a 1959 hp Sea Bee outboard motor made by Goodyear (model 225-3450) .

Does anyone know of what type of oil fuel ratio to use. I am not 100% confident in the universal oils.

Thanks in advance.

go with any twc-3 outboard oil at 16:1, just to be safe. it may be spec'd at 24 or even 32:1, but at 16:1 yer not gunna hurt it. hopefully someone else will chime in with more info on that motor.......i'd love to see a pic!

The proper ratio for that motor is 24:1

1 quart tcw-3 to 6 gallons of fresh gas.

BTW....I've been searching the internet for more information on this motor and have come up with almost nothing. Any suggestions on how to get my hands on a manual?

My bother has two of those engines in his garage. My grandad had one and not sure where the other came from. He was an old machinist and loved his engines. He would run in the the barrel und the sycamore tree the evening before we went fishing. He would say "listen to it Cadillac".

thanks for bringing back the memory.
