Very nice boat - did you restore it yourself? We have the same one, but with a bit more wear and tear with an 18 hp Johnson Seahorse which runs very well. One of the previous owners who did most of the restoration removed the transom plate (I presume there must have been one). Does yours still have one, and would you happen to know the official hp rating or where we could find out what it may be? We are thinking of getting another vintage motor in the 20 - 30 hp range if it is appropriate.

I am in the process of rebuilding a seafarer. I have the old windshield which is in good shape, but it was not attached to the boat when I bought it. Your picture shows a strip of something along the base. Can you tell me how it is attached and how I can make or buy one.
