I have about 12 motors, 4 smaller 5 or 5.5 hp, also picked up a 30hp Chrysler long shaft, anyway I just realized this 9.9 Chrysler is a longshaft, I'm not a Chrysler fan but the prices were so cheap I couldn"t pass them up, you guys know how that goes.
9.5hp OMC is my least favorite OMC motor under 25hp. My old 10's would run circles around the 9.5hp. I've had trouble planing my fat rear with a 9.5hp----never with a 10hp. The pull rope exit location, the motor mounts, the exhaust seals, the ugliness, the list goes on and on. My vote is for a 10hp.

I am going to sell the 9.5, previous owner did a lot of work on it, should triple my money, plus last week I picked up a very nice 9.9 1982 chrysler long shaft, looks like new and runs nice, not really a Chrysler fan, but I had a sea king 9.9 by Chrysler a few yrs. ago and it ran strong.
