I am having problems seperating the engine block. I have all 7 screws removed, but the engine won't release from the lower leg. I have tried prying gently. I tried a wooden block and then tapping it with a hammer. I have also loosened the lower leg bolts and the leg is seperated by about a couple of inches, but I have to remove the block before I can release the shift rod below the engine block. Any tips for breaking engine free? Am I being to gentle?

If you are 100% sure you have all seven (correct) screws removed, yep you are being too gentle. Try giving the recoil starter a sideways thud with the heel of your hand. If that doesn't help, a discretely applied engineered prybar is in order.

Thanks the use of a pry bar did the trick.
