Got a 1960(I believe) evinrude 10hp. Looks like a bread box ha ha. Anyways, I replaced the ignition coils last year, and it ran like a charm. However, this year I only got it to start twice in a barrel and run a little bit after messing with the carb adjustments. Now I cant get it to do anything and If a spray a little fuel in, i sometimes willl ccough. It has lots of good spark Iv cleaned the carb and replaced the fuel lines. Fuel pump seems to be ok
Any help would be great,.... I need it this weekend for fishing!

Also, is 32:1 Fuel oil ration good?

Thanks in advance!

You only need timed spark, fuel and compression to make your engine run.
Spark should be bright blue and jump 3/8" gap on an air gap tester.
Have you checked the compression, what is it?
Check the fuel delivey system, no leaks, no broken hoses, does the fuel get to the carb?

yes fuel does get to the carb. Has a strong spark. All new hoses. good pressure to the carb.

Well you didn't mention compression. If it is ok I would think you have a carb problem, maybe time to overhaul.
