i was wondering what rpm my 1960 gale 40hp should max out at when in the water because id like to get it proped rite but in order to do so i need to figure out what rpm range to be in. rite now the props i have are 10 3/8 x 13 1/2 and my spare prop is a 10 3/8 x 13 1/2. my boat is a 1957 crestliner viking 14' and id like a litle more speed.
