Around here it seems like everyone wants $400+ for any motor, I bought a 1955 7.5 with tank for $70, I would say just the motor like $50-60.

These are great motors and very reliable. I don't think you'll have much trouble selling it if it runs good. The price all depends on where you're at and what motors around there sell for. Here, it might get 200 bucks, but if you hold onto it, until fishing season gets into full swing, then you'll get more for it.

I could get $200-$300 for a good running 10hp with a tank around here... of course I'm far from bktheking...

It's worth whatever you can get out of it.

Condition dictates a lot of the value.

The last fishing motor of that sorts I think I sold for $250, but gave the guy $100 in trade on a broken one of the same era and a little smaller HP.

He sure was happy.

Condition has everything to do with it, yours are in good shape and as you put it "good running".

I'm talking about the guys who want $300 for motors that haven't run in 15 years, surely you've seen them popping up on UO.

Location and condition are key, here in northeast fla, they seem to top out at 200 bucks and go down from there. they're great motors, easy to work on and easy to care for. We just seem to have a lot of 10 hp motors. I would think that if you sold it in a region that had a lot of 10hp limit lakes, you'd do well.

I recently sold a running 1961 10 hp and got $180, I guess I could've held out, but I had it listed on craigslist for about a month and was getting tired of dealing with people not showing up.

Craigslist is getting to be the worst place to sell anything, mostly for the reason you stated. Anymore when I post ANYTHING on there I get spammers telling me about their money making schemes. I only post there, because it's free. I still believe in the local paper and fortunately, our statewide paper has free ads for items under 600 bucks.
