1960 Lark II Wiring Harness question

Does anybody use the original 7 pin wiring harness and switch to start and run their outboard? I can find throttle and shift "controls" all day, but finding a key switch and box with the original 7 pin wiring connection that goes to the outboard is proving impossible.

I know I could just wire up the ground to a battery, wire the positive battery to the solenoid, run another positive to the solenoid and a switch, and then run the two black wires to a kill switch.

But doing it the right way just makes sense.

Thanks
Chris

Gee, I had thought the 1960 Larks all had the keyswitch on the dash.

transom box, harness to keyswitch at dash. Stuff is out there, NY Marine, Mastertech, Marine Engine. Need to get friendly with an old time shop or two -- access to the boneyard stuff.

This plug in is a feature of a time when things were different and simpler.----No tools required to remove the motor from the boat to the shop.-------Shops were different / smaller too and they had a plug in mounted on the test tank to run all the motors.-----If you are not concerned about an " original look " then you can wire it up as per a much newer motor.----And for far less coins.
