How long did the build take?
The build took about 6 months to complete.

What was your motivation to start the build?
I wanted to have a boat without paying the huge premium of new. I wanted to have something unique on the water. I also wanted to develop the skills to be able to fix, modify and update the boat as needed rather than having to go to a marine.
How many builds have you completed?
I have built a total of 3 boats.
Was this your favorite build?
Yes. This was the first restoration and by far the most personal. My wife and kids all had input and continue too. I will be modifying the stern sitting area in the spring based on how the boat is used these days.
What was the easiest part?
The easiest part was buying the boat.
What was the hardest part?
Pretty much everything after buying it! If I had to pick one thing... stripping the paint. I hadn't figured out how to do it like I did on the subsequent builds.

What finishing products did you use?
Nautolex floors, wood for accents, marine carpet on the side pieces and polished sides using clay bars and sealed with Collonite.

Where was the first splash?
The first splash was a Lake at the cottage in Canada.

What was your best reaction?
Everyone seems to really like the wood dash and wood accent pieces. Being on the water, seeing my kids smile and laugh is by far my favorite reaction.
