Well a standard teleflex guage should work.. they have a switch on the back to enable them to work on multiple configurations..<br />start looking here:<br />
http://www.tflx.com/evinrude.html <br />I have spoken to the tech guys at teleflex several times and they are always prompt and helpful.. so use the email link on their site and ask them if you are not sure. if your engine has an alternator, then you should be fine, ifs its a generator, then I am not sure. Also, look around on that teleflex site, there is a whole second of pdf files for tech issues, like fitting tachs, water temp/pressure and other useful stuff, you will probably find the info in there. http://www.tflx.com/tech.html )<br /><br />Is there a grey wire in your control box?<br />if so, thats the tach wire.. my old Johnson has one<br /><br />if worst comes to worst, there are mechanical tachos and there is laser tachos.. which are not dependent on the type of engine, they count the actual physical revolutions of the motor.. so engine type is not important.. if you can't find a normal marine tach that fits, you should talk to a dealer who may have some suggestions.<br /><br />rgds<br /><br />Frank
