1961 Johnson Seahorse 75 Hp MPG and top speed ?

It runs great and i haven't had it on the water yet, but wanted to know some things before i do hit the water. MPG and what kind of speed can i expect. The boat I mounted it to is a rebuild 1972 steury and its a great old boat. 18 footer hold 7 people or 1,750 pounds all together.

Speed will depend on prop size. Prop size will depend on RPM. You will have to check the RPM at wide open throttle, might have to change prop size to improve speed.
As far as MPG goes, those were real gas hogs, it's not going to be good compared to newer engines.

my prop is a 10 12 and the only way to i have found to do anything with it is to have it rebuild because the age of the outboard. The guy who does this prop work in my area says he might be able to take it as high as 14 or 15.
