Here i am repairing the top rub rail, which has some section of deterioration and rot. Luckily, the deck vinyl wraps under the rub rail, thus preventing it from spreading the deterioration into the hull.

A shot of the aft cabin. the raised part is high enough to kneel, the rest is enough you can pull up your knees while lying down.

Wow man, you seriously have TWO restores going at once and what is insane to me is they are both boats over 25' foot and completely sea worthy vessels!

Im just wondering how you fund these monster restorations with the worlds economies in such ruins lol.

A lot of it is just labor.

Its been a while since the last update... i spent apr-june completing the bayliner. Its in the water now, so i'm gearing up again full bore on this project.

New developments:

-Got the new diesel fired up today... she's installed, and plumbed in. Mechanically, she is fully operational (other than steering system requiring bleeding, exhaust system incomplete, and the helm electrical).

I notice that most of your work is electrical and interior... have you gone over the hull inch by inch to look for rot or problems? That's usually the biggest gotcha with wooden boats, even ones in great condition like yours.

The boat had a survey done around a year before i purchased it, which revealed the hull was sound.

I also extensively probed/inspected the hull inside and out prior to purchasing the boat.

My only concerns with it are there may be some sections that might require recaulking, and refastening may be in order... the hull will be pretty well the last thing i tackle prior to launch.
