1962 75 hp John, electric shift problem

I bought a new junction box for this motor, didn't have one when I bought it, and the wiring is not matching up for the electric shift. The junction box has an identical connector as the harnes from the control. Blue, Red, Green in a female style plug. The harness from the motor has blue, green in a male style plug. <br />What's missing?

Don't know if it is the same or if this info will help but here goes. I have a 1964 40 H.P. electric shift and it works this way. The green is the forward and the blue is reverse while the red is the power.
