I have replaced the impeller in my 1962 Elgin Outboard and it is still not working. This is the 1st time I have worked on an outboard so I am not sure what I may have done wrong, so I have 2 questions.
1. Is the Impeller be tight when it drops into the hole?
2. Does anyone have any instructions and or pictures on how to install this impeller?
I am mechanically inclined but very naive (ignorant) when it comes to outboards, so any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
