Hey guys I got one more question about this johnson. How can I find out what type of lower unit oil I need for this motor and how much to fill it? please help
It takes 90 weight gear oil. Buy a quart bottle and one of the handy little pumps that fit the bottle. Put it in the lower plug till it comes out the top plug--that's how much it takes. Once it appears at the top plug, insert the plug before removing the pump from the bottom hole. DO NOT remove the phillips head screw, that is not the oil plug.
