​and.... electrical contacts at the coil HV pin and the booth spring pin gets oxidized so redoing all the connections by replacing the plug wires will give you a warm feeling 5 miles out :)

Coils are new, and I cut back the old wires 1/2 inch before installing. These wires look fine and have no cracks. I will be re-using them.

get after that impeller,it is WAY easier than it sounds.

Yeah, I ordered one from ebay, not hard to install...not sure what my plans are for this unit. I seem to have acquired old outboard collector disorder....not sure if this is a keeper, although its kinda cool

Yes I have it also. I have 2 1955 15s,2 18s,a 1956 7.5 that belonged to my grandpa and dad,a 1975 6hp.Everything you want to build find a cheap parts motor for.Cheers!
