Hello, i have recently found out that my motor is not running full throttle so i did some research and found out my throttle sync isnt correct so i tried adjusting it and now the carb looks to open wot like it should but the idle screw has to be adjusted. Before when u turned up the idle screw to make it idle fast enough the timing linkage would turn too far and prevent you from being able to shift in or out of gear, it would also not want to rev up in neutral it acted as if u wernt pushing the throttle forward and now it revs up pretty high in neutral, so now ive had to back off the idle screw and the shifting is no longer an issue but my question is how exactly do i know if it is in sync corectly? and being how the carb didnt open up all the way before would that affect performance alot due to the timing to throttle being diferent? the motor ran smoooth before i just couldnt ever get it to idle fast enough due to the linkage not allowing me to shift. Im just nervous about testing on the water u know.
