1963 (?) Glasspar Restoration

Hi there, im brand new here... yesterday i was given a Glasspar which i believe from the serial number to be a 1963 Tacoma (14TA3002) with a Evinrude Lark V motor, which i believe from the limited research i have been able to do, is also a 1963 or close to it and 40hp... i got all this in kinda rough shape on a trailer for free. I have never restored a boat before (i have always been into restoring vintage honda motorcycles) but i am very excited to give it a go! i love the nostalgia of old vehicles... and boats too! I was hoping someone could help from the info i have to confirm what the heck i actually have here:confused: Also i would like to know basics that i should start checking out. The hull appears solid and the floor doesn?t flex much at all. I am missing a gas tank (or 2?) and the fuel line as well as a battery. I was told that with these things the boat is "fully functional", but the storage place it was sitting at for 6+ yrs didnt allow toxins/chemicals or some mumbojumbo. The transom seems solid but does have some tiny cracks around the corners but not bad, ill take pics... not sure if this is an easy patch job or a huge pain in the @$$... i have worked with fiberglass before so im ok with "repairs." the gell coat needs some TLC/Paint, it is very faded from the Arizona sun. the carpet and seats are pretty well shot and i will replace and shine up what i can on the trim etc. (Cosmetics last of coarse) the wiring looks pretty unmolested and isnt a total hack job like i had feared. Although some numbskull slapped a trolling motor on the bow and beyond it being a total eyesore the wiring to that is an atrocity. i popped open the old Lark V and it looks beautiful inside at first glance. Looks like the fuel was drained because the glass float bowl appears empty and CLEAN. The whole motor inside is impeccably clean, no wires appear to be cut, frayed, or otherwise molested. The seals, lines, and gaskets all appear to NOT be brittle, cracked or dried out. But annnyhow... i started a thread in the evinrude section for that haha.
So i will post some photos tonight, but any tips, tricks, secrets, must have info, or anything at all that some of you with some experience with these awesome boats has is sooo very very appreciated. Also if there is a wiring schematic that anyone knows of that would be cool so im not completely flying blind. THANKS:D

You might check here for info on the boat, they have a lot of old sales stuff and other info.

Doubt you'll find a wiring diagram for anything other than the motor. You might drill some cores of the transom. (from the inside!) I would be amazed if a boat that old didn't need a floor, stringer, and transom...but stranger things have happened! Even if it does, it's not that bad....if you are restoring bikes, I'm sure you have the aptitude. There are a ton of projects posted on here that will help, and advice galore! Welcome to I boats, looking forward to the pics!
