I dont have a good picture of them and the boats in staorge. They look like a 3/8" thick angle bracket opened to 110 deg. There is a screw that holds the the windshield and one that secures it to the bow.

Lakelover has some better pics, of this part, on his JetStar restoration thread.

This is a better photo of the bracket I'm looking for, found on Lakelover's restoration thread. Thank you for letting me use the images!

You're welcome! I think you'll be lucky if you can find exact replacements. You might keep checking ebay, but a pretty obscure original part, I would think.

Oh - you have the other type. It might take a lot of searching to find your style.

The type I posted might work as a replacement and you can still find the rubber gasket, too. It's called Taylor Made Twin Flap.

I don't know, LL. $28 for 4 or $7 each isn't too bad.

That's true. But unfortunately, the current budget dictates. They would look nice, wouldn't they?

They would be nice. I forgot for a moment we are mostly bottom feeders here with monetary constraints. :ballchain:

Shiny new chrome that will no longer be available does funny things to a person. Budget notwithstanding, I just ordered a set! I'll rob Peter to pay Paul.

I'll like to follow this because I may do a windshield project one day. In the meantime, I'm keeping my eye out for a freebie or cheap junk boat with a decent one.:spy:

final ford 027.jpgThere are several make your own windshield projects in the archives. Getting a piece of plexiglass as the original and heating it and bending it WITHOUT cracking it will be hard to do. For that reason I used thin lexan and made my own mounting hardware from some little I bolts and rubber washers.. They work great.

Its going to be a bit befor I start on the mold and bending, engines going to get re-ringed first. I spent many moons as a cabinet makes and bending acrylic/plexiglass/polycarbonate.
lakelover, Once I get the mold done I'll get in touch with you. Looks like we have the same windshield.
