I was just given a 1963 Johnson 10hp (Model#QP-24B) outboard and it had a little play in the prop. I pulled the entire lower unit apart and cleaned it in its entirety. The lower seal is shot and there are a couple other parts I would like to replace as I am putting the thing back together, can anyone tell me where I can get a schematic for this entire motor so I know exactly what parts it is that I am looking to replace?
Thanks

Actually, I believe a QD-24 IS a '63. i.e. '53 = QD-14 '56 = QD-17
I like to nit-pick a little, too.:):)

According to the service manual, the QD-24 is a 1963. Stands to reason since my QD-21 is a 1960.

If we are nit picking...

You're right! I just looked it up. I thought because my RKL-25 is a '63, your's must be a '64.

Ok you guys got me and it is a QD-24, does anyone know what the B is for? When i looked it up it said it was a 1963 so thats what i am going off of. Is there a entire motor diagram in the manual that calls out which parts are which? Also what is the fuel mixture supposed to be for this particular motor?

The service manual contains exploded views of the major systems, although I have found a few differences between what the manual shows and what is actually in my motor. Between the OMC service manual and the Seloc service manual, you get a pretty accurate picture of what is in there.

The correct mix for this motor is 24:1
