I rebuilt the carburetor except the float which seems fine. I even had it running at one point quite well under this condition but it keeps flooding while trying to start up. There is gas just pouring out of the intake. I assume your going to tell me to try the replacing the float but is there anything else I need to look at? This is really quite simple setup.

float binding in the bowl, a piece of debris in the needle seat. more than likely the float wont float anymore.

Any chance you put the float in upside down? Best of luck. Rick.

Check the bowl vent (upper left port above carb throat connects to top of float chamber.. air should blow through). Carb bowl must be vented to atmosphere or gas will come out the carb throat when you open the petcock. I cleaned/checked float valve function 4 times before I figured that one out years ago.. now I check check every carb's vent (they all have one).

Good luck!
