1963 johnson 40 hp exaust housing disintegrating.

I was running my motor all summer. Took off the bottom end to weld a crack and when I pulled it off it was filled with a load of exhaust housing. A full handful. Then looked up and there is a half moon section missin. Probably 5x5.

Trying to imagine what in the world disintegrated and fell down. Perhaps the inner exhaust tube #49???

Item 49 is exactly what has broken and fell apart. I have the lower end off and the motor is covered on the boat.
