what would be the best way to diagnose a no start in this motor

you need spark, gas, compression. these are the 3 components to a motor running. do you have spark at the plug, inspect the spark plugs, are the wet or dry? is the vent open on the gas tank, is the filter clean, are the carb clogged? do a compression test, and post the answers

thanks for the help got it runnin' needs a fuel pump kit which I'll install today thanks again
