I'm new to all this boating stuff. I just got a 1963 Mercury 65HP outboard serial # 1759263. Someone said that i needed to mix the fuel? Do I ? and if so whats the correct amount? Like i said i know just about nothing about boat motors any help would be great. Thanks
Yo Edistone!

Merc didnt make a 4 stroke until very recently ( like the last couple of years I think)

your engine is a 2 stroke, and requires 50:1 fuel/oil mix
Like evryone else said. You MUST mix oil with your gas and do yourself a favor and only use oil for outboard motors, preferably with TCW-3. You will burn the motor up if you don't mix it!!
