Hello-
Has anyone had any experience adding an electric choke solenoid to a early 1960's OMC 18hp motor? I have a 1964 Johnson 18hp model FD-18E, I have the solenoid now, just need to locate the linkage change parts. Everyone says you just need the solenoid, but it seems that there is more to it than that. My accessories book pictures show you need to change the linkages, bellcrank, and arms to use a solenoid and add some parts. Does the stock pull choke still work with this setup or is it abandoned? Any thoughts on this would be great. Thanks!
