1964 28hp fast twin, gas coming out carb?

This motor has been sitting for a couple years. I got it running with new coils, points, and condensers but I noticed that when I pump the ball on the fuel hose, gas comes out of the carb. was just wondering if this was because the float is sticking. I plan on getting a carb kit and rebuilding it, but i can't find a kit that comes with a float. BTW this is my first outboard and this site along with Max E. Wawrzyniak's book "Cheap Outboards" made working on the ingition a breeze so thank you. I've had lots of fun with this project.

The needle& seat is leaking, the floats not stuck. A BRP kit will have the float.

It could be a sunk float. BRP kits are available at all BRP/OMC dealers.
