Before I run this motor on Monday I would like to change to lower unit oil. From what I've read on here i should use 80/90w or 75w-90 and this can be purchased at a auto shop, like Pep-boy's or autozone. Is this correct. Thank You
Don't use oil designed for cars. Instead, hop over to your nearest marine shop or Walmart and buy lower unit oil designed for outboards. Your little Johnson will appreciate it.
