Thanks for all the help..... it runs great now. When I was reassembling the carb, the first time around, I noticed that the first inch of the fuel line was cracked and dry. I cut the section out and reattached it. Didn't think anymore about it. When I took the carb apart a couple hours ago I noticed the needle wouldn't open or close to get the proper seat. To my surprise there were several small chunks (the size of silica sand) of fuel line holding the needle in place. I can only figure that I didn't cut enough of the bad fuel line off before attaching it to the carb. After flushing the carb out for a second time and cutting the fuel line until good rubber was identified did all my problems go away. The motor started right up and runs like a top.
