I just got a boat and the first time I tried to fire it up it started up but my dash started smoking and my wire harness was really hot. I figured it was a short so I made up a new kit and copied it exactly but when i went to fire it up my new wires did the same thing and melted the connector. Im guessing whoever wired it messed something up or crossed something. I now have to hard wire it without the connector but Im not sure what goes where. Does anyone know where i can get a free diagram ? the engine is a 1964/60 hp johnson super-sea horse model#vx-10s. it doesn't have tilt or trim i'm basically just trying to get the ignition wired up.
