1964-66 Merc 200 20 horse spitting out grease

My outboard is spitting out a little grease where the cooling water comes out. Its not a lot.....also it gets really hot then cools down then hot then cool.....is that the grease clogging the fresh water outlet?

"Where the cooling water comes out" Are you referring to the telltail stream coming out of the lower cowling or the hole in the midsection leg?

Theres really only two areas you could be picking up oil and ejecting it out the telltail, he lower unit or the block. The seals could be bad in the upper section of the lower or a cracked block. The going from hot to cold to hot, when was the last time the impeller was changed?
