Just connect a HT car coil and ballast resistor in series between the ignition & the positive of the coil then the negative of the HT coil to the points as you already have points ,I done this with my 1971 100 hp i had to connect a 20 nf condenser to the negative of the HT coil i converted the amplifier ignition to run on a HT car coil you can do the same with is motor and bypass the magneto system i used parts from a 1974 Toyota corolla bought at the scrap yard for 20 dlrs the motor starts 1st time and every time
