I've got a 1964 evin. 75hp electric shift. What lube (if any) can I use instead of the factoy type "c"?

The factory no longer calls it Type C. It is now Evinrude/Johnson Premium blend. Want an alternative? Still called Type C right here at iboats http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Ac...**********.074037751--submit.x.20--submit.y.7

I guess you mean "cheap". They said that in an emergency where type C was not available you could substitute Dexron ATF. Whatever you want to do is ok with me. Just remember, those clutches in there are $$$expensive.

It wasn't the matter of being cheap, just couldn't get any w/o driving a long distance or waiting for a shipment. Thank for the info.
