I just got a 3hp Yachtwin that I am replacing the pistons and rods. I have all the parts I need but for the life of me can not seem to find the torque specs. Does anyone have the specs for the rod bolts and the block bolts? I did find the notes on the head bolts [60-84 inch lbs] and would assume the block halves would be about the same. thanks

All I can find is 60-80 inch Pds on both the rod and block bolts.

I copied that picture to my files, Thank you . It appears to me to be a picture of an pre 1958 engine, I believe that is when Johnson/Evinrude changed there design. I think this shows a connecting rod that has needle bearings and a older style flywheel starter dog . I am not 100% sure that there were not other changes as well. However thanks for the help so far.

I may be wrong but JW's from the 50s are pretty similar to 60s 60-66 inch/lbs is 5-5.5 ft/lbs as indicated

it as been said may times here that a inch/lbs wrench is more accurate than a 5lbs setting on a bigger wrench
