Recently my grandfather passed away. With his passing he left me his boat. A 1965 17' MFG Edinboro. He bought it brand new in 1965. It has a 1975 70hp Johnson, and a 1974 9.9hp Johnson(his emergency motor). I was looking to replace a few things on it such as the "glove box" which is missing a lid and potentially the windshield. The windshield is the molded plexiglass. This boat was his life when he and my grandmother got married in 1950 he made her sign a piece of paper that said that she would never for any reason interfere with his fishing. He carried this paper in his wallet till the day he died. He loved fishing and this boat. And I'd like to do him proud by fixing it up and making it into the monument to him that I think of it as. So if anyone could help me out with any information on how to find either of the these things (if you can even still get them) I'd be very appreciative. Also if anyone is from RI do you know of anyone that's good at re-upholstering seats. The ones in the boat are original and will need to be done again very soon. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
