1965 90 HP Model 90-S Wiring harness????

Could some one help. I have been able to map out all the wiring on the harness. But there is one wire I have not been able to determine what a large brown wire is to go. It is the wire that comes off a side screw attached to the alternator fuse. Located under a plastic cap.

I have a bunch of wiring diagrams but not specifically for the 90 hp. Some of the other diagrams for the 85 may be the same. Is the wire in the junction box? Are you certain its an alternator and not a generator?

Thank you for your response. When looking through an old evinrude spec sheet, they indicated that my motor is a Battery ignition system. I also have a 1968 65HP sport four with a Magneto ignition sys which looks totally different.
The Plastic cap that covers the wire says remove cover to replace alternator fuse. I will attempt to attach some pics.
I just need to know what to connect the wire to. I personally suspect it is the wire that recharges the battery.

Are you trying to connect the motor wiring to a different boat wiring harness?

Hi if you high light the whole link including the ~nldubin/ it should work.
Well yes and no. The harness on my boat is the same but the motor on there now is the magneto type and has less wires on it. I was planning on adding the wires I need like the electric shift and such.

3 brown wires come off the 60A fuse. One to a capacitor, one to the accessory power takoff terminal on the bottom of the junction box, and one goes up front to athe Gen side of the ammeter. The ignition switch Bat terminal is also fed by the same Gen terminal of the ammeter. Yes it is an alternator.

They never work for me. If you want to post your e-mail, I'll send you a diagram that way. It's for a '64 but should work ok.
