I was going to replace thr impeller on my motor and found that the previous owner had broken the two bolts that hold the housing on there. This resulted in me accidentally drilling a small hole on the inside of the housing. I imagine I will need a new houising but can't find one, I even tried using the part number on it but it must be obsolete. All of the housings I've seen for sale look nothing like it.. Need some help locating one

What is the part number on it? Or JB Weld may solve your problem filling in the hole...

Hi Fishunter,
That pump housing is the same one used on the 3 and 4hp direct drive lower units up into the 1970s. Uses the same impeller, too.
Were you able to drill out the old screws in the lower unit casting?
- Scott

I haven't had a chance to try yet, I'm hoping I can. I was thinking of drilling out a little bigger and using a heli coil, any other suggestions
