Hello All,

I am new to the forum. I am having a problem locating parts for my 1965 Johnson 9.5 hp outboard. Especially a replacement fuel pump or rebuild kit.
Does anyone have a good supplier of Parts?

Thanks,
Brewdog

Replacement pumps are still available from J/Rude dealers. The PN is 388833. Set you back about $50. TwinCity Outboard is also another source. They have a web site.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone of you know what parts will cross over from newer year 9.5's?

All the 9.5s are basically alike. The first years had lousy vibration damper design though and idled poorly because of all the shaking.
The 9.9 is a totally different animal.

The 1965 started life with a larger fuel pump. I believe it was in 1967 or 1968 that they switched to the smaller ones. The Sierra 18-7351 is the closest pump to the original large one that they sell here, and it works great. The Sierra 18-7350 is the smaller pump that most people use now on all of the 9.5 motors.
