1965 johnson no spark

My motor has no spark. The points look good. The allignment seems right. What could it be. Also what should the compression be

Hi, Beertk.<br /><br />Get a meter and check if your points are grounded when open. You may have a bad kill switch.<br /><br />Tell us what engine and model you have.

Sorry it is a 60 horse. And the points are grounded.

I just had this problem in a '66 60hp that let me sit in the river. All it was was the rotor was worn. I replaced it and it runs like top.
