Yes, the Gale 60 became the Johnson / Evinrude 60 for 1964. Checking the service manual it appears that the fixed high speed jets were added after 1965. Check out your model number carefully when ordering parts. It will be either a VX, VXL, VXH or VXHL followed by a number. The L denotes long shaft, the H denotes high speed gearcase. The number 10 is for the 1st year model of a given model (in the case of the Johnson 60, 1964, 11 = 1965, 12 is for 1967.) That motor does have an automotive type distributor & battery ignition.
