I'm looking to restore a 1965 OMC Deluxe 17. Anyone know where I could find parts such as light covers, seals for the windshield, etc?

Light covers? Lenses, maybe? Like red/green bow navigation lights?

You'll likely need the maker of the light fixture to find replacement lenses, not the boat maker... IE: Perko

Look thru the hardware catalogs here, bottom right of the webpage, it lists quite a few hardware & accessory makers.

Is the 1965 OMC Deluxe going to be a factory exact resto? You might shop evil-bay for vintage lights, and just replace them entirely. Might get lucky & find a better condition exact match.

Runabout, windshield gasket that's under the window frame where it contacts the fiberglass?

Or the rubber seal that holds the glass into the frame?

Pix always help w/ the 'Where can I get THIS' questions...

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking for the red/green navigation light lens but more specifically the red as it's cracked and as a hole. As you see from the picture, the lens is specific and I can't necessarily completely replace it. Then again, I'm just starting to look into it so I might come up with a solution in time, if need be.

The windshield gasket that makes contact to the fiberglass under the frame.

I'd like to get the boat to as original as possible but I know that will be difficult after nearly 50 yrs.

Aren't the red/green nav lights in the 'headlight' looking pod on both sides of the bow?

I think this is supposed to be a 360degree white light (all around white light):

If you have a good green light, I don't know how it's done, but I do know it's possible to cast your own red lens in a mold taken from the green:

I have no idea where you might find a good replica or facsimile of your windshield gasket:

It looks pretty specific to your boat year/model. Evilbay often has this one, but I don't think it's similar enough:

BTW: Great looking Cat!

What's the motor plan? W/ that huge engine cover/doghouse, I/O right?

I took another look at the green navigation light and it needs to be change as well. I'll take them off and I think you might be onto something, worse comes to worse, I'll look into fabricating them myself.

It is an I/O 1971 Buick v6 155hp. When I bought it a few summers ago, it ran. The seller picked us (my family) at the dock and drove us to their cottage on an island 10 min away. The boat never had been trailered and I'm the third owner. We drove it back to the dock. What a nice ride. Can't go wrong for $500. It's been sitting there since. Finally found a suitable trailer last summer and now I'm into getting it back in the water.
