Bought a boat last Saturday that I believe to be a 1965 Starcraft Bahama. Unfortunately, the title states it is a 1970 home made boat likely because the previous owner didn't have the original documentation. Motor model number plate definitely shows 1965 75HP Johnson, which I think was the original motor. Here is the boat. Transom seems solid but floor and stringers are shot. Hope I didn't bite off too much as all work will have to be done outside.

Anyone have more insight into this boat or has done a stringer replacement?

Floor before and after I pulled up the plywood so it could dry over the winter

Exactly why I opted for an aluminum boat. Lots of guys in the restoration forum have glassed in transoms and stringers and they turned out great.

Welcome, you definitly have a 60's boat there. Browse the brochures and try to match her up.

I came up with a 1965 and the state (fortunately) let me change the title to reflect the correct year and match the motor. In Rhode Island, the motors are registered once and carry a separate registration from the boat so the motor is correctly registered as a 1965.

Now I have all winter to plan the stringer replacement.
