well, im painting the outside of the boat tomorrow and the inside saterday. I went with Dark forest green on the outside and an oyster white on the inside, then i will have medium grey carpet for the floor and casting deck side walls.

will post pics of the process starting tomorrow as the boat painting meets completion :)

this is a HUGE hump for me to get over, im really excited to start the floor and everything afterwards

Looking sharp, CD. Glad you went with light colored topsides. The sun heats that tin up up, even with lighter colors.

Re: 1966 16' aluminum starcraft Jupiter

Is Jas still using US Comp epoxy? I know that's what he was using on 1 of them other threads:rolleyes: But either is more then what was originally done by SC. Esp if you're coating the transom & the back of the deck. Either way there's upkeep & maintenance if you want it to last as long (or longer) as it has so far.

Exposed epoxy does need to be covered by spar or other. Cost vs. benefit & how long you'll keep the boat... It isn't a piano:)

The green & tan remind me of 60's British roadsters:cool: Good combo

I think you'll find that most guys around he use either US Composites or Clarkcraft. If you have money to burn West System is great too!
